11U All-Stars 3-peat NH State Champions!

2018 11U All-Stars

The 11U All-Star team won their third straight NH Cal Ripken State Title in dramatic fashion by beating a very tough Seacoast team twice Thursday evening, 7-6 in 7 innings and then 9-7 in the winner-take-all game.  Their path to the Championship started with wins over Merrimack and Dover before falling to Seacoast 8-7 (10 innings) in the winner-bracket final.   Down, but not out, the team then beat Dover again to face off against Seacoast in the Championship.  The 11U team will now participate in the New England Regional tournament for the third straight year which starts on July 20th in Dover, NH.  As 9Us the team lost in the Regional semi-final, and last year as 10Us they lost to West Hartford, CT in the Regional Championship.

Good luck team!

12U Lightning heads to Regionals!

12U Lightning 2018

Best of luck to our 12U Lightning team headed to the Babe Ruth Regional Champipnships in New Milford Ct this week after finishing Runner up in the NH Babe Ruth State Chmpionship Tournament this past weekend. In a repeat of the District Championship game the Londonderry crew faced off against our neighbors from Litchfield once again in a game that as always proves exciting between these two squads. Despite coming up short in this one the 12U Lighting crew had a tremendous state title run outscoring their opponents 55-9 in the five game tournament. The girls head to regionals with an overall record of 29-8 in 2018 with one tourney remaining for the 2018 season. Best of luck!!!!

Congrats to our NH State Champs!

10U Blue Babe Ruth State Champs!

Congratulations to our 10U Blue Londonderry Lightning squad that captured the Babe Ruth State Championship this weekend! In a first for 10U Babe Ruth softball, the State Championship final featured not one but BOTH Londonderry Lightning teams! We were fortunate enough to field two 10U Lightning (All Star) teams in 2018. After District play our "Blue" team finished second while our "Red" team finished fourth earning both a bid to the nine team state championship tournament. Previously undefeated Windham entered the trournament as the heavy favorite before being stunned in pool play by the Lononderry Red crew. Less than 24 hours later the Blue squad finished them off in the semifinals and got to stay and cheer on their londonderry counterparts as they pulled out a 4-3 win over a veteran Merrimack squad in the other Semi setting up the all Londonderry final. In a great game that drew much attention from other teams, fans and umpires alike the 10U Blue squad took home the title and secured a spot in the Babe Ruth Regional Championships in New Milford Ct beginning this Thursday. Go get em ladies we are very proud of you!!
